Has anyone set up Reolink cameras with motion detection in home assistant?
Ie i want to use the cameras built in motion detection as an entity.
I have 2 Reolink 410 5MP bullet cams.
Any ideas?

Thirdparty DVR/CMS such as BlueIris. Or if you don’t mind paying for a better UX, DW Spectrum. I use the later but it’s costly as it’s a more enterprise leaning solution. I setup POST calls from DW Spectrum to HA Webhooks and an automation that toggles a Boolean depending upon the endpoint. There exists an add-on/integration for BlueIris, but I found the motion calls to be flakey.
can you share the command that you use to have DW send it to home assistant to trigger
Does this not work for you?
The Reolink cameras’ motion detection are not that great, DW Spectrum’s is insanely good.
I setup event rules for each camera’s start and stop motion event that hits a their own webhook. In Automations I can then use the webhook event to flip on or off a boolean, respectively.
@omayhemo Can you give me the example of the webhook but without your key in it so I could see how it would look
Or is it just a web hook address and the rest of it’s done in ha and if that’s the case can you show me how that looks any help is appreciated
The webhook is created automatically via the automation. First, goto configuration-helpers and create a boolean to be toggled by your automations. Then goto automations and use webhook as a trigger and give it a name, and flip the boolean on or off. The webhook is created automatically. Goto webhooks, enable it and copy the URL for use in Spectrum.
So you created two webhooks one for motion and one for no motion correct and had to make two rules in DW if I’m following correctly
The other thing I was wondering is if the realink ones with AI built into them would actually show up in DW as a plugin
Which plugin?
