There are some tasks that needs to be done periodically, for example everyday at 9:00 AM, so if a task is narked as done, I don’t want to be displayed until next day.
Also it would be nice to have a way to assign a task to a specific user, and sort tasks displaying them on user based columns.
I use Google calendar for tasks, so they appear in peoples calendars too, and they can check them off there. For repeating tasks I used to use the task settings in the calendar themselves, but I rarely use them now. Reason being, if it is an x number of days, and i’m late, I want the days to start conting from when I did it, not when I should have.
Other tasks are made based on usage. So I let Home Assistant measure that and create tasks based on that. I guess you can create lanes by placing todo cards next to each other.
This is my writeup on how I dynamically create repeating tasks:
Hmmm I’d prefer to use Local to-do integration instead of Google Tasks, so I don’t have to sell my soul to the devil. So that’s why I think is a better option to enhance Local to-do.
