Replace Aeon Labs Usb stick S2 with Gen5

HI,
Anyone has done a replacement of the primary controller?
Somewhere I see that I should include the new controller into the network and then promote it as main controller… And after? for the battery powered devices what should I do? It’s sufficient to wake up them (open a dooor or walk in front a PIR) or I should re-include them on the network?

So, the old S2 now is connected to the RasPI with Hass, I should connect the new Gen5 to a PC, do the proper operations and then replace the S2 on the RasPI, right?

I need to do this too. I’m thinking of just excluding all my devices and re-adding them, not ideal but it’s almost like starting fresh which might be nice anyway.
I’m worried about battery devices though, I might try to keep both running and slowley remove->add to make sure everything is working.
