Replace Kernel on Beelink EQ13 HASS Bare Metal to Fix WiFi?

Hi all –

I’m bringing up a second HASS installation on a Beelink EQ13 SFF PC. My first installation is working great, which is on a Beelink S12. However, the new one on the EQ13 is having WiFi issues. First it can’t connect to a 5GHz network. I disabled that, and was able to get connectivity on 2.4GHz. Performance on 2.4GHz is terrible – it shows up as unresponsive to the front end. Hardwired Ethernet works great. I reached out to Beelink for advice, and they suggested to update the kernel to the latest from https://www.kernel.org/. I am leery to do so, and wanted to ask the community here for their advice. I like having WiFi because I can move the device around to pair with my z-wave nodes.

Thank you!

You cannot update the kernel by yourself if you run HAOS.
