I am looking to replace a manual Malibu ML200RT. It is an older device with a rotary dial to set the time. I need to adjust it a few times a year (not a huge deal) but if I can replace with a Sonoff style device running Tasmota that would be ideal. What I am not sure about is the model Sonoff that would work. This is not outdoors but inside my garage. It has about 12 lights attached to it the lights are 12v garden lights. Some one mentioned a Sonoff Ch4 with a transformer would work. My box only has 2 ch but a 4ch would be fine.
If you get a 4Ch I recommend a 4Ch Pro Rev2 which has better isolation between relay circuits.
I have had a quick google and that Malibu stuff is AC. So you can switch that fine on one of the 4 relays. But you will either need to power it from 5 - 24v DC on Input 1 or 90-264v AC on Input 2.
So either find an old router / switch PSU as they are normally around 12v DC or power it off the mains. Then use a 12v AC Power supply as your switching power.
Also as the Pro is isolated you can switch different Voltages on different relays.
So you could have 12v AC on Relay 1 and 2.
Have you mains voltage AC Garage lights on Relay 3.
12v DC Christmas lights on Relay 4.
@jwelter I did not think of that. It is a new house but looking at the transformer it does a switch I can leave on. Thanks I will try that with my Sonoff powering my Christmas tree now.
