Replace manual switch with ... something smart?

Hey,

I have two LED panels with are used when doing video conferences, MS Teams Calls, … .

But these panels have manual switches, so I have to slide up a switch to turn on the panels (and slide down to turn off, of course).

I’m not familiar with microcontrollers, Raspberry Zeros or something, so:
Is there a possible solution to get these non-smart LED panels into my Home Assistant?
(It’s not sufficient to switch a plug, because these panels have batteries, so even if the plug cuts the power, the LED panel wouldn’t turn off without the switch).

Is this a common request or something, that “depends on”?

I’m quite stuck, so if you have a good tutorial for solving these or similiar problems with microcontrollers, raspberries, arduinos, … please support me by providing really simple introduction articles/videos.

Thanks a lot <3

Since you mentioned ha, I assume you can add some external communications devices. I would entertain zigbee or zwave and have them control a dry contact type relay module that is directly across the switch you mentioned for the led panel. Similar concept to control a security gate or garage door opener.
