want to replace the Netatmo sensors with a better solution which works better. The data is sometimes 2 hrs old. I am thinking of Ecowit or other brand. And prefer zigbee, but no idea if this offer a windmeter, rainwater and such. My zigbee devices work great, wifi could also be a solution, but I think with frequent updates that zigbee performs better.
My Netatmo devices are a main unit, 2 extra sensors, and windmeter and rainwater. Obvious I want this almost native integrated into HA. What are your experiences and/or recommendations?
There is a long discussion in this GitHub issue about the delay in data reporting from Netatmo devices. Someone has found a way to make updates faster. Here’s hoping this will find its way into HA sooner rather than later, since I at least wouldn’t want to throw out otherwise perfectly fine hardware just because of what appears to be a software issue.
Fact is that the outdoor temp eats batteries Every 2 weeks.
Oh wow. Mine (temp. / humidity) doesn’t do that. Can’t remember when exactly I last changed batteries on the outdoor sensor, but it’s been months, propably closer to a year.
