Have a 2010 MacBook Pro laying around that’s doing nothing and would like to repurpose it as NAS + Home Assistant server.
Any advice on which would be the best OS to install on it?
Preferably easy install and maintenance for both HA and NAS.
You CAN run HA on OSX but you probably don’t want to do this.
I would put Ubuntu on it; then run the docker for HA or HassIO; and perhaps another to sandbox your NAS.
