Reset and Play Sonos Configuration in 2023

This has changed over time. But: In 2023, what’s the best way to:

  1. Join all Sonos speakers
  2. Reset Sonos speakers to consistent volume
  3. Play something on Sonos speakers?

Some constraints and context: I have many media_player devices, not just Sonos, but for this specific automation I want to join and isolate/target just the Sonos speakers.

Install the Sonos integration, then have a look at the HACS frontend Sonos card. It has just been updated to v6 and it is excellent.
