Reset of Hue Lights not working

Hey,

I am using ZHA (newest HA version) which is starting to work great. One thing is quite problematic though. I got two Philips Hue lights which I can not get to join at all. I am doing the following:

  1. Reset the light via Hue Remote
  2. The light is flashing
  3. My Sonoff Bridge is moved right next to the light and then I am clicking to add a new device (Also tried to do this right before resetting the light)
  4. Repeat a 1000 times

ZHA won’t find anything, although I was able to join other lights, sensors and the remote without a problem.

Anything else I can do?

I have had problems getting the Hue bulbs to reset correctly. After startning to use a Hue dimmer switch for reset, it always works.
If you have a hue dimmer switch, hold the switch very close to the bulb (like touching it) the press “1” and “0” at the same time for 10 seconds. The bulb will flash 3 times (do not release before the 3 flashes have finalised )and afterwards the bulb connect nicely to ZHA. I normally have ZHA in paring mode during the reset.

Read somewhere the Hue bulbs was not supporting on the high Zigbee channels. I do not know if this is true. Im using channel 15.

Yeah thats exactly what I am doing, just doesnt work for those 2 bulbs. Before switching to ZHA I had both bulbs easily connected to Deconz

Strange. Does your zigbee network work well, or could it be a connectivity problem. Do you have a lot of other active devices on the zigbee net.

I’m using a conbee2 coordinator. Maybe a problem with the coordinator?

The rest works pretty good
I also put the Coordinator right next to the bulb when searching for it, so it can’t be a range issue

What zigbee channel do you use? Do you have any Hue devices active, or is this the forst. What coordinator, have you searched for the coordinator and Hue?
You mention having a good zigbee network. Do you have other “mains” or will the hue bee the first?

I have a very similar problem. I am using a Conbee2 on channel 11. If I use Deconz the bulbs show up. If I try with ZHA (latest version) it refuses to see them, no matter how many times I reset the bulbs. The bulbs are about 3 feet away from the conbee.

I got a flashed Sonoff ZBBridge with Tasmota. Here you can see a small screen of my network with the currently integrated devices:

What Channel?

I have to find out where to look this up. I am using ZHABridge in Tasmota, so all control is given to ZHA from Tasmota. The ZHA Frontend in HA sadly is not showing the channel, so I guess I am using the standard one, as I never changed anything.

This is all I can see:

Per documentation:
ZHA prefers to use Zigbee channel 15 by default. You can change this using YAML configuration, but this only works if there’s no existing network. To change the channel for an existing network, radio has to be factory reset and a new network to be formed. This requires re-pairing of all the devices.

OK, Im out of ideas.

As mentioned I have them working on channel 15 using a conbee2 directly connected to HA using USB.

Anybody else?
