I disassembled a Lithium Ion EV battery pack some years back, and in the wiring harness I found several of the items below. I figured they were temperature sensors for each of the battery cells. I worked out if I connect the wires to a multimeter that is set to resistance, I found the resistance lowered when I held the item in my hand i.e. when it got hotter.
So, my question… Would it be possible to connect these items to an ESP32 with esphome? I assume it would, and also found an entry regarding variable resistance for esphome. But I am not sure if I require additional circuitry, including 5 volts etc.
Any suggestions, thoughts appreciated.
