The fix didn’t work. I’ve updated new error log on the Github issue.
Latest update is working now!!! Great stuff!!!
Now… to find a card for this…
What do you mean by a card? For dashboarding the data? I’m always interested to hear how users of this end up using the data in HA.
yeah, a card or something on the HA dashboard.
I have a custom card already for my dashboard so I just wrote a section in JavaScript that displays some of the data and colorizes it’s based on whether it’s over the compliance threshold, etc. I’m happy to send you the js for that part if you want to add a custom card to the repo.
Cool! I think sharing it here could be a great start.
Hello there
i’m trying to use this integration but receive an unknow error while trying to add it
i’m using the EU region
i’ve made a github issue and i have a HAR file if it can help
same error message here - i think it has to do with the 2fa now with the code sent by email… i used to work over here but stopped working.
This looks great! Alternatively, have you heard of OSCAR? It’s an open source application that can pull sensor data from a ResMed CPAP. It can access data that isn’t visible from the MyAir app/site.
I don’t know the details about it as I just discovered it (and this post) when I was looking for ways to pull data from the CPAP and then integrate it into HA somehow. But I’ve never used Python extensively so it’s a major hurdle for me.
dont you need the SD card data for that - as in - the data ingestion is always manual ?
edit: we prolly need to hook something like USB Flexibele Verlengkabel Extender Adapter Converter Sd kaart Vrouwelijke SDHC Kaartlezer voor MP3 GPS Mobiele Telefoon 54/70 CM|Data Cables| - AliExpress to a nodemcu/esp32/rpi … to auto adjust/read data.
No idea. As I said, I just discovered it. But that would defintiely be a big hurdle. I just find that, while nice, the data MyAir shares isn’t very detailed.
Yes, you have to pull the SD card and put it into the machine you have Oscar installed on. Great package. I pull data every couple/few weeks unless there’s something odd that makes me want to look at the previous night.
Hi folks unfortunately it looks like some EU countries now require 2-factor tokens via email to login. Someone will need to reverse engineer this, I’m not sure when I will have time to spend on this. At least one user has had luck creating an account in another EU country.
As for OSCAR, unfortunately the data provided through ResMed is only daily summaries so there’s not much more we can do through this interface.
I’m having some issues adding the integration after installing. Is there a step I am missing? I’ve done the following as instructed here.
- Added the custom repository to HACS.
- Downloaded the CPAP integration.
- Restarted Home Assistant.
After doing this, I do not find the ResMed integration in the list of available integrations. I searched for Air, resmed, CPAP and found nothing. Am I missing something?
I also did not see the integration loaded in the http://<hass.io>/config/info page.
Hi ExCoderAtWork.
Sorry you are having issues. You should see it in the integration list called ResMed myAir CPAP Sensors
once it is installed correctly.
Can you confirm that HACS shows it is installed and that it appears in your custom_integrations/ folder as custom_integrations/resmed_myair? What version does HACS say is installed Do you see any errors in your home assistant log? Please file an issue on github with the above information.
Finally getting back to this. It is working now. Not sure what fixed it. All is good now.
Any clue what you did? I was so excited to try this and it will not work for me. I see nothing in the logs, I installed it twice, several re boots and nothing. It shows in HACS but will not show up when I go to integrations. I see the file under custom components in my config file? Do you have to enter information directly in the custom component file someplace? pretty new to HA have quite a few HACS integrations and they always show up when I look for them on the integrations tab. Any help would be great.
EDIT- so yes it is glitchy, finally got it to show up. Install it as described, restart HA- then for whatever reason refresh the webpage HA is running in and Boom it will show up when you search for it in integrations?? No clue why but that worked for me.
Don’t forget that older units used 3G modems, which no longer get service in many areas: I just checked my MyAir app, and it stopped recording data in April of 2022.
I am saddened to realize that I can’t use this cool project until I switch machines.
Tanks for building it, though, prestomation!!
You aren’t the only one! My machine is from 2008 and doesn’t have any kind of modem LOL
Mine just stopped last month too! Unfortunately this means I’m now not in a great position to support this integration anymore
