(Resolved) Matter pairing starts but then fails / Bosch Smart Thermostat II M+

Edit: Managed to get it to work. I believe, in the companion app, I initially only sent the credentials to the phone but never sent the credentials from the phone to the server. At least when I did both of that again, it worked.

I am kind of out of ideas here. I’ve been trying to connect a Bosch Smart Thermostat II M+ to my home assistant. The basics:

Home Assistant Green, 2025.1.2
ZBT-1 (Thread firmware)
iPhone 13 Pro (made sure to send credentials to the phone using the companion app)
Bosch Smart Thermostat II M+ (reset to factory settings every time I try to connect)
Open Thread Border Router (haven’t made any changes to the configuration)
Matter (Beta), (haven’t made any changes to the configuration)
Thread (made sure it’s the preferred network & connects to the iPhone)
Matter Server add-on (no entries in the logfile)

So every time I scan the QR code or manually put in the code, the pairing process starts. In the companion app, the thermostat is even shown as being close by. When the pairing starts, the LED on the thermostats starts flashing faster, so I must assume, that there is an initial connection. Which means, that there should not be a fundamental issue with the connection or settings. What could cause the pairing to fail after it started? Edit: Just tried again, holding the phone only centimeters away from the thermostat instead of 2m away. That seems to have changed something, but now I get a failure message saying “Device could not be added. Home could not create a connection to this device.”
