Restoring backups for NAS docker mounted HA

My HA is installed in docker on my Synology.
Last week I accidentally deleted my Tuya integration, insert tears, but I was unable to find out how to restore my backups so added everything back in manually.

Can someone link me to a guide for future reference please.

Thanks very much

I run HASS the same way on docker in Synology.

What I do is use snapshot replication to create a snapshot of the docker folder every 4 hours. Once a week snapshots are replicated of the NAS to off-site.

Whenever I update HASS I create a new docker folder (ex. hass_prod_2023_2_7), copy the config in and then create the new container. This way if I have a problem with the update, I can shut it down and restart the old container.

If I want to restore, I shut the container down, a copy the files back. With snapshots it’s easy to roll back to yesterday - though I’ve never had to do that.

Does that answer your question?

Ah, so instead of trying to use HA to load the backup, I simply copy the HA folder in File Station and if needed, paste back my backup. Not sure why I didn’t think of that.

Thanks very much.

Yep, that is a simple and correct way to state it.
