Hi all,
I am currently facing a litte issue when trying to reuse an already added tasmota device (wall plug).
The wall plug was prior used for a freezer and the power consumption was measured in the energy dashboard. I want to reuse this plug for a different use case now, since the freezer is not in use anymore but I don’t want to loose my statistics and don’t want them to appear under the new device name (air purifier) in the energy dashboard. The plug should be added under the new name (or with its new entity) to the energy dashboard.
I have added the plug using the tasmota integration.
What is the best way to let this plug appear as a totally new device without loosing all the old stats?
I have tried renaming the device and modifying the mqtt topic but this to changes doesn’t affect the device in home assistant (in the first case the device is renamed - but I don’t want to do that).
