RF blinds with Broadlink RM4 Pro and scripts - exposing to HomeKit and Google Home?

Hello!

I am using a Broadlink RM4 Pro with Home Assistant. I have some no-name RF blinds from the Swedish store Jysk (available at other places in at least EU). I have learnt the RF codes from my remote and I have working scripts in Home Assistant.

However, I want these blinds exposed and usable with Google Home (most important) and preferably Apple HomeKit as well.

Unfortunately I am not sure how to proceed or what to do and would love your help! The RF blinds doesn’t have an entity since the three controls are just scripts (up/down/stop).

Thanks!

The Broadlink integration allows you to create custom switches - presumably these could be exposed to Google Home.

Switches are binary, of course - on/off. You might be able to create two switches using the stop command in both - up/stop and down/stop.

Thank you for helping!

The “stop” command is only there to wake up the blinds from sleep (or so it seems) because if there’s only one button press none or maybe one of the blinds will respond.

It’s the same with the remote - I need to hold Stop (or press it several times) in order to wake them up, then press up/down for all blinds to respond.

The scripts works fine for that since I’ve added the stop command 4 times, but I don’t think I can do that with the Broadlink integration as mentioned.

My apologies, you did say that it might be possible to add both the Stop/Up commands to a single switch and that might work. I will look into it tomorrow and report back.

Thank you for the suggestion!
