RF Bridge connection issues

Evening all,

I decided to move from tasmota to esphome for control of my RF devices. So after carrying out the hardware mods and flashing the firmware all was running perfectly everything worked as expected until I plugged the bridge into anything other than my laptop. Then it powers up connects to home assistant the logs all look good but it will not receive any rf codes. Plug it back into the laptop usb and it works perfectly again.

Any thoughts on this one.

Make and model of this might help someone assist you.

What other things are you plugging it into?

What are you bridging (rf to serial or rf to wifi)?

Where is Home Assistant running (on the laptop?) ?

If you plug your rf bridge in your pi, use a usb extension cable. Or just use a phone charger and put it close to your rf devices.

Its a sonoff rf bridge v2. There is nothing else plugged into it, just the bridge plugged into standard wall adaptor.
I use it to read my rf door and motion sensors and send that to esphome via wifi.

My laptop is not running HA, that is on a PI which I have tried plugging the bridge into with no success. I did use the laptop to program the bridge using esphome flasher, though I don’t see that should matter.

Hello!
Just having the same issue here! Did you happen to fix it???
My esphome (sonoff v2 rf bridge) just does the same! Will receive RF signal while connected to USB port on my notebook, but not on any other USB adapter or even Pi running HASS.
I know it’s an old post, but just decided giving a shot!
Thanks!
