RF Control on A320 Robo Vac (Aldi Stirling Robot Vac)

Hi everyone,

I am trying to figure out the best method for automating an older robo vac I have at home. I had wrongly assumed it was an IR interface, but as I dig deeper, it seems to be RF of some sort…but not the standard 433Mhz that I am used to - where I would otherwise use my Sonoff RF bridge.

The vac is an Aldi Stirling Robot Vac and appears to be very similar if not identical to the A320 one noted here: https://sites.google.com/site/mechatronicsguy/robot-vac-hack

My question is whether or not anyone has successfully interfaced with these vac’s via RF. I find it hard to interpret the above link, but I think its referring to 16Mhz RF? Can anyone shed some light on this for me please?

Did you have any luck with this?

I tried in vain to get my IR blaster to work with it not realising that it’s an RF remote (d’oh!).

Would really like to be able to get the vac to start remotely

I did the same thing - lol. No luck unfortunately. It appears to be on a different frequency or talking a different protocol to what my RF bridge supports (Sonoff RF Beidge - 433mhz)…just not sure what that is.

I’ve just ordered an RF blaster pro to see if I can learn the codes using it as it has RF learn capability. (My IR blaster doesn’t have the RF functionality)

Fingers crossed they use the same frequency.

Will let you know if I manage to crack it.
