Hello,
My home lightning system is based on an analog bus (looks like ethernet cable, but 6 wires) going from switch to switch and back to some relays. The system is 20 years old and is becoming unreliable (due to some oxidation, I think).
Anyway, I need to change it as it makes me crazy.
My goal is to have a “basic” system, separated from HA (in case of maintenance, upgrade, failure, etc.) that could be integrated to HA for some advanced scenario (turning the light on when the alarm goes on, dimming the lights when I start some scene, etc.) Nothing too fancy but I would like the lightning system to be operational (in degraded mode) when HA is not available.
I was thinking of this :
- The brain of the lighting could be the Ikea DIRIGERA
- The muscles could be something like this
- About, the input, I don’t know, really…
I could use some zigbee switch (and even power them via the curent analog bus running the walls) or I could find some push button modules and keep my curent wall switches. In this case, I need to find battery operated zigbee push module (not easy).
Anyway, I’m open to recommandation/suggestion.
Thank you for your constructive inputs
Have a great day !
