RFXCOM EMC via WiFi

Hey. I'm working through configuration of HA to work with RFXCOM EMC via WifI.

I've setup the RFXCOM, flashed it with the WiFi firmware, connected it to my WIFi and setup the basic params on it's web interface.

What I'm struggling with is setting up the RFXCOM HA add on. The add-on loads fine, and then asks me to select whether I can SERIAL or NETWORK. As I need it to be connected via WiFi I selected network. It then prompts for name/address of the RFXCOM, which I enter and also asked for a port. No matter what I put in there it doesn't seem to work. I've tried 10001 amongst others but no joy.

The RFXCOM does seem to be connecting to the HA MQTT Broker as it's created some entities (for itself).

I guess a couple of questions.

  1. Do I need the RFXCOM add-on in this scenario (RFXCOM via WiFi with MQTT setup)?
  2. If so, what do I need to use for the address/port number for the device?

Thanks.

When using MQTT-WiFi or MQTT-LAN software in the RFX-433EMC :
Please read the RFX MQTT in Home Assistant.pdf, available on the RFXCOM Downloads page.

For MQTT you do not use the RFXCOM integration!!!

When using USB or WiFi software in the RFX-433EMC you must use the RFXCOM integration with port 10001 (see the RFX User Guide.pdf)
