I have two instances (433 and 868) of rfxtrx running for quite some time and this worked great so far. A few days ago I tried to add some Smartware smoke sensors, but when I enabled the ‘Enable automatic add’ option, the sensors were not recognized (although they should be compatible and in the past when I opened the automatic add function, many of these sensors were received (of neighbours).
So, I tried several things:
- Disconnect and connect both usb cables (to the rfxcom 434 and the 868) and reloaded both integrations. Also disabled and enabled these. Did a restart of Home Assistant / upgraded to all the lastest updates.
- As this was not working I sent the smoke sensors back.
- A few days later I tried to automate something with my existing rfxmeter connections (water and gas meter/counters). Then I spotted that these counters were not updated anymore since a few days.
- Tried to restart again, but then I got an error message, stating: The rfxtrx integration does not support YAML configuration. You may not notice any obvious issues with the integration, but any configuration settings defined in YAML are not actually applied. To resolve this: 1. If you’ve not already done so, set up the integration. 2. Remove rfxtrx: from you YAML configuration file 3. Restart Home Assistant.
When I dived a bit deeper I spotted something that stated that there could not be two instances. Anyone can advise me what to do (would rather not like to make a mistake because quite some automations run on these RFXCom devices)?
