I only use auto-add when I really want to add … there is a risk that you will connect to hundreds of neighbourly smoke detectors/etc. and mass removing does not exist.
So, did you make sure that the rfx itself is accepting things? I had to go in with rfxmgr and select the options to send/receive, then save…only then it works
And did you try another USB port?
Have not tried another port. The problem is that I’m not at home. Have to try that in the evening when I get home.
I have selected the wanted protocols in the RFXmngr.
If I unselect all protocols in the RFXtrx options and also automatic add then it looks like this.
No errors
But can I verify that it works?
There is no entities
Ohlala now that it is working, you want to connect to devices TOO…demanding
So, this is my order on how I got it to work
- made sure the rfx is recognised by HA
- connected with rfxmgr (through ser2net but this is not a must)
- set the correct mode and selected all protocols so that it could send and receivey, saved
- in HA, selected auto-add, added one of my devices, un-auto-add and tested the device …re-moved/added if needed
…this last one I repeat with each device with above mentioned reason
Note that I did not at any moment specify any protocol in HA, my current integration (clicking configure) looks like this
Okay, I have to try to add devices when I get back home.
We see how it goes
Tested to add a device.
Got some faults and couldn’t connect but after a reboot and some more…
I got it to work/connect
I will try to add some more today
Now all my RFXtrx units are added and still no error
I think it’s working…
Thank’s for the help.
Happy new year
Do not opgrade to home assistant os 10.3 - this willl cause rfxtrx to fail
This is working for me.
The RFXtrx is working
