Today is the day I’ve decided to get rid of my Ring doorbell after fighting with support for 2 hours and getting a so stupid answer I never got before…
It seems Ring should be flushed in the toilet becoming so ignorant to the users (by not answering to feature requests for years, increasing price frequently and so on)
I’m looking for an alternate solution of my Ring bell with the following specification
- outdoor exposed
- has a camera (motion/presence detection) WITH RECORDING
- has a wireless (should be wifi) chime
- HomeAssistant support
- HomeKit support (should be stable and not something like Ring through Homebridge which is extremely unreliable)
- powered either by Ring’s transformer (I think it is 48V) or standard 220V
Anyone found something like this replacing this poor product?
I have Unifi devices too, but when I checked their offerings I couldn’t find a doorbell which is certified for outdoor exposed and also their solution is quite expensive comparing with Ring’s HW
