Ring Doorbell, no camera

I have a Ring Video Doorbell 3 Plus. I’ve added the ring integration. Logged into with my Ring credentials and 2FA. Note: I do not have a Ring subscription.

Device comes up in HA and I get Sensors: Ding, Motion, Volume, Battery, Wifi. But no “Camera” sensor.

Am I missing something?

nope. that’s expected for the default ring integration.

take a look at ring2mqtt for a live camera feed

That’s not true. I use the default Ring integration, and I have a camera sensor:

  1. you only get that if you have a subscription. he states he does not.
  2. it is not a live feed, that is the last recorded video. and it’s delayed in posting.

so i think what he is getting is indeed expected given the conditions he stated. and also if you want a live feed (with or without a subscription), you should look at ring mqtt.

Hmm that might be true. The MQTT integration works great tho.
