It will only work on newer mainboard indeed.
I have 2.x firmware on my lightsys, then it will not work, unless you replace the mainboard too…
how can i know?
I checked my firmware version in HA (using the addon, the mqtt integration tells you). I was on 5.something and updated on the risco panel to 6. Not sure if you can see the version on the panel.
You can also see it somewhere on the panel indeed, or the integration
If you have 2.70 or lower, you are out of luck, like me
Try updating the fw via the panel (in the installer menu)
Seems on same release as mine, 2.70 is the max for that older panel…
You can use the addon, for me it’s very stable!! I use the proxy
(If you use proxy, NTP should still work , since it’s connected to internet then)
So i cant update the panel then?
Lol i’m coming from the addon.
Is it as fast as the original integration ? Cause i think i moved from addon to original to be faster…
Cause i use the motion sensors to trigger lights and stuff, so it should be fast
The addon is as fast as the integration, it’s based on the same local API
Updating your panel is useless, it won’t go higher then 2.70, our boards don’t allow multi socket TCP cards
I use the addon with cloud enabled with the proxy config, when I walk before a sensor, I see the state immediately changing, no delay
So you are saying:
- i shouldnt update my firmware
- cant replace my panel with mulit socket tcp
- i should go back to the addon
- should enable cloud againn (not sure how)
- i should enable proxy (not sure how to do that either too, i have a unifi setup (dreamrouter)
You can enable cloud on your panel, just like you disabled it before…
You don’t need to touch/configure anything on your router, just configure your panel NOT to go to www.riscocloud.com, but make sure it points to the IP of your HA, so it tries to connect trough the proxy to the cloud
ok , im gonna try tomorrow
Use this version, it’s more up to date and stabler for proxy disconnects…
im looking things up again
so to enable cloud , i go to programming>cloud>ip and then i enter www.riscocloud.com
right?
But if i want to use proxy i dont fill in www.riscocloud.com but i fill in my ip of my homeassistant?
Then i will have instant sensors, and back my normal clock?
Yes, that’s correct, then the start the addon, it can take up to 2 minutes or more to see the incoming connection from your panel to the addon, be patient
There is probably also some kind setting to enable/disable cloud, probably you have disabled it, enable it again…
ok thx will try tomorrow
Have a merry christmas all of you !
mmi cant remember where
If you Google : risco lightsys installer manual, you will find the complete guide for all settings :+)
