Risco Lightsys Alarm component

I’d like to share with all users of the iRisco ELAS MyElas Commpact alarm console that have been pushed to pay for a subscription but that do not want to do it.

The easiest bypass to avoid paying the subscription is:

  1. Buy yourself two Shelly 1 (https://www.shelly.cloud/products/shelly-1-smart-home-automation-relay/) - it will cost you somewhere about 20 €. You also need an external siren.
  2. Open the console and plug one of the Shelly to read the PGM (Siren output) from the Console - it shall be plugged in the Shelly switch port (be careful doing this step o avoid eletrical damages)
  3. Plug into your siren the other shelly to be able to trigger as a dry contact the siren (check Shelly dry contact connection)
  4. Unplug the internal siren from the board
  5. Configure your commpact panel to: disconnect from the internet (as it is not needed anymore) and the PGM output as pulse
  6. Configure with automations your homeassistant to read the shelly that captures the siren activation, create an automation button in homeassistant to enable your new alarm and set another automation that reads this button: if on it triggers the siren, if off it does not trigger the siren
  7. leave your console always armed (it will be home assistant to manage the alarm)

This should be doable for all Risco MyElas systems and also others.

Et voilá, you won’t need cloud anymore (and now you have a connected alarm).
Hope it helps.

Or just use the local integration

Local integration will not work on Commpact or older, unfortunately.

Sounds like you might be able to make do with a single Shelly 1, by setting the button mode to “Detached”. This will decouple the button from the output.

I agree. It should work.

As I am moving to a new house, leaving my LightSYS2 here, I am planning to buy a new alarm system. Anyone tried this component with a LightSYS Plus? Looks like it’s the newest panel from Risco.

Is this the same as ProSys Plus? Because the latter does seem to be supported:

I don’t think so, board looks significantly different!

you can always use the cloud integration? i dont it mathers then what type of panel you have?

Hi Fabio, nice to read from you again, I’d prefer a local access so it’s instant, always under my control even without internet and doesn’t need the cloud subscription… so many reasons to avoid the cloud in my opinion

yeah, indeed well no idea if lightsys plus is supported, i will ask the owner

my guess its supported, the local intergation is based on the CS software

I was thinking the same, but wanted to make sure before buying and installing it

Same issue here, before opening a GitHub issue, can someone confirm that format is the following:
Host: IP address (eg: 127.0.0.1)
Port: always 1000
Pin Code: the so called panel access code (5678 in case it’s default) and not the pin to arm and disarm or pin used by master or something else
Add-on works good for me and I’ve a prosys plus.
I’m trying to switch to official one because I’m having annoyance with alarm panel

Do you have the add-on still running when you’re trying to connect? Even the newer IP boards that support cloud and local simultaneously, only support 1 local connection at a time.
Try to disable the add-on, give it a minute, and then try to setup the local integration.

Also, unless you have a static ip for the alarm, I would recommend using the host name rather than the IP.

Thank you for the feedback but no, I’ve un-installed the old add-on and currently my subscription to risco cloud service is expired, so I’m almost sure there is no simulaneous connection.
Yes, I’ve a static ip for the alarm; host Name should be resolved by the home router but I don’t know if I’ve this feature (indeed AFAIK fritz routers has some troubles on this).
Unfortunately the configuration does not give information relevant to the type of error (no host? wrong password? concurrent connections?)
Any other clues?

currently my subscription to risco cloud service is expired, so I’m almost sure there is no simulaneous connection

Risco cloud is still connected even when the subscription expires, but if the add-on is indeed not running, and you don’t have the configuration software (used by integrators) running by any chance, you should be fine

Anything in the logs?

Log is totally blank…
PS what do you mean by “you don’t have the configuration software used by integrators”?
PPS: still not clear if “pin code” requested is 5678 (default panel access code) or passwords used by me to enter into risco cloud or to arm/disarm Alarm

you need to use the access code, thats indeed the 5678 as default
normally you also setup the same code in the json file for addon ? or have you enabled brute force attack?

Thank you Fabio, I’ve enabled the brute force attack and it resulted to be different as I’ve seen from the logs. I’m writing this code into the official integration but it doesn’t work
