“Configure” from the relevant integration on the Integrations page.
Initially, I could only see the options in Config1 attached. Upon changing the poll time, further options appears (config2)
It seems HA only as 4 arming states (?) but the Risco app technically has 6 (including Stay & Away). Can I add more, and also rename the HA states?
You cannot rename the HA states (but I guess you can create other entities or scripts, and name those whatever you want (e.g. have a button called “arm whatever” that runs a script to arm group C).
HA only has 5 arming states. The integration only supports 4 (I think Arm Vacation is a relatively new state). I guess you can create a PR to add Arm Vacation support for the integration.
Hello,
I realized that in my log there are tons of:
2023-01-09 10:54:03.136 ERROR (MainThread) [homeassistant.components.risco] Error fetching risco data: {'result': 72, 'validationErrors': None, 'errorText': None, 'errorTextCodeID': None, 'status': 200, 'response': None}
2023-01-09 10:54:33.979 INFO (MainThread) [homeassistant.components.risco] Fetching risco data recovered
Is that a common/normal behavior?
Thanks
That’s a normal error/log … When using cloud, make sure your interval is not set too low
Mmmm it was set at 30 seconds (by default I think).
Now I set it to 60 seconds. Anyway Is there a recommended setting?
Thanks
not sure, dont use it anymore, using local now
Well, the default is probably the recommended interval
Seriously though, when I was on cloud, 5 seconds worked great. I did have those error 72 logs every few hours, but I just ignored them - they happen when the cloud can’t reach your local system for any reason, and as long as it’s momentarily it’s ok.
And of course, you can always switch to local and these errors would go away
I just read the doc where They talk about two kind of integration cloud and local. I wasn’t aware.
To switch to local is it needed to remove and reinstall the integration?
Thanks
Probably :+)
Technically you don’t need to remove the cloud integration - you can have both running simultaneously.
You do need to add a new entry though
Update on this topic…I don’t know what I did but was able to succesfully connect after many retries using the native plugin. However I often get random disconnects using this plugin. (Plugin goes into error)
2023-03-15 22:22:06.193 ERROR (MainThread) [homeassistant.components.risco] Error in Risco library: 'utf-8' codec can't decode byte 0x8b in position 18: invalid start byte
Maybe your Risco panel isn’t UTF-8? Are you using a different encoding with the add-on?
Replying my own question as I moved and successfully integrated my new LightSYS Plus. It’s been over a month, working like a charm, just like my previous LightSYS2 panel. Hope this can be useful for who is undecided on getting the newest panel.
Cloud or local?
Absolutely local
Thanks, great to know!
Are you able to bypass individual zones from within HA?
yes you can
Qualcuno mi può aiutare?
