RM mini support for adding device

Hello everyone, I recently purchased a RM mini 3 to control TV, amplifier, set top box.

I configured it for the first time (iphone-ihc for eu-account fb) and everything was ok with app finding the RM mini and the 3 devices. I created a couple of scenarios (turn on TV, turn on sky tv, turn off everything).
But then a first issue: ALEXA wasn’t able to find ihc for eu skill. After I accessed the account with email instead of fb it succeeded to find the skill but it continued NOT TO FIND SCENARIOS.
So I decided to reset everything. I said to myself: I reinstall everything, leave the account, re-add the devices and try to find the scenarios for Alexa: TOTAL DISASTER! Now the application on the iphone ihc for eu does not even find the RMmini !!! Not even an android cell can find it, obviously setting the 2.4ghz network, resetting the RM mini, trying to enter the code manually. The hardware seems to work but software and servers seem to be quite lacking … I fear I will return everything…

Had the same problem even when I only wanted to test the device. Ditch this the crappy spying software. You need HA->Node-Red->Broadlink Manager. Broadlink manager you need to get the IR codes, it can be done within HA, but it’s easy from Broadlink Manager. When you get the codes, in Node-Red install node-red-contrib-broadlink-control and node-red-contrib-amazon-echo. From the github of node-red-contrib-broadlink-control you can get examples how to set up RM mini 3 and the best of all nothing goes to the chinese servers and you have local control.

hi Voodoo, thanks. Unfortunately I don’t have a windows pc, just Mac. I don’t think to have issues with codes, it’s the first “add device” phase that is currently not working…

You want to have mobile control? If that’s the case I can’t help you since I almost threw the damn device from the window setting it up from the official app.
For the codes you can get them via HA itself with the Broadlink integration.

Actually yes, I want to control TV from the iphone. But then I want to control everything with Alexa, too. I understand that the codes are used to pair the ic app with the different devices and this is not my issue (not yet…): I don’t succeed to even SEE the RM Mini!
