There are a lot of different post about vacuums , what works what doesn’t. I have A main floor I would Like to vacuum, it’s mainly hard wood with some rugs on top. I would Like a vacuum with mapping and maybe zones.
What all is being used and what is the latest info about integration with ha, seems there are pro and cons with every option,
I am using mine for more than a year and from day one with home assistant.
You will not regret the Xiaomi first gen.
I don’t know if the higher price is worth the second generation, that’s something you have to figure out
I think it is not but it depends on your environment and needs.
Original Xiaomi XiaoWa New Smart Robot Vacuum Cleaner 1600Pa 2600mAh with APP Control
Is this the First Gen you guys talking about if so I am too looking to getting one after xmass but don’t know if I need to spend the $200 more for Gen 2 all I have is polish flooring no carpet or rugs.
Well my wife. Best wife ever who totally gets the home automation hobby. Brought home Roomba 675 WiFi/ Alexa compatible now I have to figure out if this model is going to work with hass,
I think it will be useful for you to read general information about robotic vacuum cleaners and some models. My friend Richard writes Nice reviews, I hope it will be useful for you.
I think 2 gen is now possible that create virtual magnets/walls to exclude rooms… With a newer firmware , don’t think this firmware id available on 1th gen…
Also now saved mapping, but useless if you vacuum multiple floors (for now)
I have the roborock S50 and I am more then satisfied with it. I rooted it and run Valetudo webui on it and its fully controlled by home assistant without any connection to a cloud sevice. Great stuff!
We have a Deebot N79S Self-Charging Robot Vacuum Cleaner. We bought it for $160 on Amazon last summer. It’s worked nicely for us. It sometimes gets trapped in places so we monitor it. For that price, we weren’t expecting perfection, check some models here https://wisepick.org/best-robot-mop/
It does a good job of cleaning up, though. We have a four-year-old and two white cats so crumbs end up under the table and one of the cats likes to leave behind his hair wherever he goes. The room looks much better after Deebot finishes up. Overall, it’s been a good purchase for us so far.
I don’t suppose if you know whether the vacuum pictured here can be controlled with the home assistant component that controls the roborock vacuum below?
