Roku Thermostat App

Hey all,

I’ve started a little project for my Roku that lets me control some thermostats in my home using Home Assistant.

It is in very early stages of development. There are no promises if it will ever see the light of day outside my house.

I started a bigger HA dashboard project a while back that I never got up and running. So, I decided to just focus on a single thing - thermostat control.

I would like some feedback on whether an app just focused on controlling thermostats would be useful. Also, take a look at the screenshots below and let me know if this UI makes sense.

These images are a little dark. But they were taken directly from the Roku.

The climate entities are listed on the left. The individual entity data is represented in the middle. And on the right I’m using the openweather entity data. Lastly I’m using the sun entity to control the color (light/dark) of the weather icon.

Thanks.

Looks awesome to me! Being able to control my climate control from my roku would be super handy.

Cool @dave122, I’ll let you know when I have something you can try.

What kind of thermostats would you want to see controlled?
Do you currently use a weather component or the sun component?
Also, do you use the climate components for anything else?

Thanks.
