Hi everybody,
I just jumped into the home assistant world through hass.io. great software! I’m really astonished how good and easy to set up it is.
Unfortunately I’ve got a problem I just can’t solve by myself (noooooob).
I’ve got a lot of sonoffs relays installed to control lights, switch and roller shutters. Thanks to the sonoff tasmota software I can control them through MQTT. Before Home Assistant I just used Homebridge to make them work.
Lately I’m skipping to an Android Phone and that pushed me into the HA World.
Now I’m wondering if there is a way to configure better my roller shutters.
They are connected to a Sonoff Dual with 2 separeted relays with interlock function active so that you can never switch them on together. Also I set each relays pulsetime so that if one is activated it stops x seconds later: The roller shutter motors have limit circuits stopping them anyway even if the relay is still on.
The ON is in reality a toggle so if I press it twice I can stop the roller at any point.
The relays are set as switches in Homebridge so I just see two switches: Open and Close.
I configured them as switches also in HA and put them in a group with all Roller Shutters.
I would like to know if there is a way to configure the 2 switches (open and close) in a single one, maybe with an automation, so I’d see just a roller shutter button. I imagine that if the button is active the roller would be open and when it is off it would be closed… that could be a good end result.
There aren’t any sensors to know the state of the rollers and I really don’t mind about it… maybe integrating also the pulsetime in home assistant configuration it could also tell the system in which state it is? Well that would be perfect!!!
Don’t know if it is possible… I’d love to read your opinions and suggestions.
Thanks in advance!!
Cheers
