Roon play options in HA

I have been using Sonos to run whole home audio with playlist control through HA. I also have a large Roon library running on a separate server. I have been able to integrate Roon into HA and have been able to control play of Roon Playlists, My Live Radio and even Genre/Subgenre with the “Media player: Play media” service setting the “content ID”.

Question: I would like to leverage the focus function to dial in a “smart playlist” in Roon and have it saved as a preset in Roon. Thereby leveraging a broader set of music in the collection. Rather than manually managing playlists.

I see that I can create a focus and save it as a bookmark on the Roon side but cannot get the HA “Media player: play media” service to call it. I tried setting the content ID to bookmark/ and bookmarks/ but neither worked.

Does anyone know if this is even possible?

I’m afraid Roon itself doesn’t support any type of content id (at least via the api). The only way to specify what to play is to use media paths as described here:

And I don’t think tags are available via the roon api
