I’ve published a community integration for the older Roth Touchline Classic underfloor-heating controllers.
Important: this is for the Classic generation with the local XML endpoint. It is not for Roth Touchline SL.
The integration is local-only and read-only: it polls the controller directly on your LAN and does not change heating settings or use a cloud service.
Features
- Current room temperature for each discovered zone
- Configured target temperature as a read-only sensor
- Last-seen timestamp
- UI configuration and support for multiple controllers
- Configurable polling interval and zone limit
Requirements
- Home Assistant 2026.7.2 or newer
- A Roth Touchline Classic controller reachable from Home Assistant
- The controller’s local XML API endpoint: /cgi-bin/ILRReadValues.cgi
Install with HACS
- Open HACS → Integrations.
- Open the menu and choose Custom repositories.
- Add GitHub - mronnlun/home-assistant-roth-touchline: Local, read-only Home Assistant integration for Roth Touchline Classic underfloor heating controllers · GitHub as an Integration.
- Search for Roth Touchline and download the latest release.
- Restart Home Assistant.
- Go to Settings → Devices & services → Add integration → Roth Touchline.
Configuration asks for the controller IP/host, port, maximum number of zones, and polling interval. Available zones are discovered automatically.

Reports from users with different Classic controller firmware versions are welcome. This is a spare-time project, so responses may be slow. If something does not work, please include your Home Assistant version, controller model/firmware, and relevant logs in a GitHub issue.
