Not sure where to post this, but for those having issues with the Aeotec Z-Stick 7 on a RPI 4b…I’ve fought a battle to get it stable. Finally yesterday it started working after putting a USB extension cable in-between the RPI and the Z-Stick. I saw someone mention it in a post in a semi-related thread and tried it.
It should be called out in the installation notes for RPI that if you encounter problems with dead nodes or distance issues with the Z-stick 7, you should try this. After making this change the system is now stable and distance issues are gone. So much for needing the extender!
Our home is just over 3000 sq ft and I now have no problems reaching everywhere.
