RPI3B+ Can't build ESPHOME, will the HA Yellow and RPI4 work?

I’ve seen other threads where people can not reliably build device images on RPI3B+. I’ve been builing images on my laptop and then installing over USB which is OK, but not ideal.

I have a HA Yellow which will arrive someday :crossed_fingers:, and it will use the RPI4 Compute Module.

Are people reliably able to build ESPHOME Device Images on the Yellow?

It is largely ram dependent. How much ram does your cm4 have?

I have the 8GB RPi4 Compute Module
I also have a 1TB 970 EVO Plus SSD.

I’m guessing I’m about maxed out for speed \ RAM on that setup and it should work. :crossed_fingers:

As I say, its the ram. You have enough.
