Good Day Folks,
I have a RPi 3B+ which I am trying to flash homeassistant and boot from Wi-Fi using the latest image, I also add the wpa_supplicant.conf file with my Wi-Fi credentials on the root directy of the ssd card, I then boot it up without a LAN Cable, it never shows in my list of devices on the Wi-Fi, however, when I connect the cable it shows up. If I load the credentials on HA network settings after connecting the cable and I disconnect, it disappears from my network.
The very same RPi shows up on Wi-Fi when I use @andrewjfreyer’s BT Presence script and boot from WiFi. In the past, it used to be possible to boot via Wi-Fi if memory serves well.
Is there a guide on how to boot from Wi-Fi from scratch for RPi3B+?
Regards
caswell
