RTC on Home Assistant OS

Greetings !
I’m reviving the RTC topics.
The goal is the same as previously seen on other topics : to get time sync without internet access to get time triggered automations working.
I’ve seen topics talking about DS3231 but it seems that it is not supported by HassOS.
Maybe a GPS dongle would do the trick ?

Is there any available option to make it work without having to use restart all my config ?
I am using Home Assistant 2022.3.3.

I also have to say that I’m pretty bad at linux :expressionless:

Thanks

Well, I firstly moved to HassOS in order to get rid of the cloud stuff. But it seems that I still need it if I want to make automations which is not I was prepared for.
I am not a programmer but I don’t understand why no addon was created to avoid this problem.
Some kind of virtual RTC for example

any solution for this"?

not for me… I just rely on my router

I believe the Home Assistant Yellow actually has an onboard RTC with battery back up. Thus, hopefully that will provide a decent solution that is HAOS based.

indeed ! but would need to change the whole hardware

How do you use your router as a NTP server?

It is somehow set as default. Without internet, my router will key date and time even after a power failure

I found this
