RTC (Real-Time Clock) Fallback - HA OS on RPi 4 - rtc ds3231

It would be great if we could have support for a RTC (Real-Time Clock) like the ds3231
I have used this on several project and found it to be very accurate compared to ds1307

If I have a system in a caravan or RV where we can be away from the internet, I would like a fallback clock like the ds3231.
When it is back on-line then it can sync back up.
Option to select a fallback device and when back on-line , what to do, sync the fallback and the RPi.

I have found the ds3231 to be very accurate after 12 months as a stand alone unit.

If it could be implemented using ESPHome or similar, that would be awesome.

+1 for this request. HA can resync time when it grabs updates via my phone when i return to my cabin.
