I have a device named “Flex Sensor” that fires the following event:
“Flex Sensor fired Notification CC ‘notification’ event ‘Light sensor’: ‘Light color transition detected’”
I want to make this a trigger for an automation but I’m not sure what values to use.
Until the underlying integration updates to enabling the new Event entities, you will need to use the Event tool in the Developer tools to listen for the event to gather the necessary event data.
Where are you seeing this displayed:
“Flex Sensor fired Notification CC ‘notification’ event ‘Light sensor’: ‘Light color transition detected’”
in the logbook:
Go to Settings > Devices & Services > Devices > whatever device represents your Flex Sensor
When the device’s details ate displayed, click the + icon next to Automations. It should display a list of everything that can be triggered for this device.
