Hi Community,
I recently became the owner of an ADT home security system. It is a Safewatch Pro 3000EN model that I have connected to an EyezOn Envisalink EVL-4EZR IP Security Interface Module. There are wired sensors as well as wireless sensors connected via a Honeywell Wireless Repeater N6566-3MX WiFi Signaling Device.
I have the Home Assistant Envisalink Integration configured and working, however, as the documentation for zonedump_interval states, “This is an interval (measured in seconds) where Envisalink will dump out all zone statuses. This is required for Honeywell systems, which do not properly send zone closure events. DSC boards do not technically need this.”
I want to phase out the existing control panels and harsh open/close announcements and instead have Home Assistant announce when sensors open/close as well as build automations triggered from these sensors.
What are my options for a low latency solution, that reuses my existing sensor, that works with Home Assistant? Do I need to replace the existing Honeywell board with a DSC board? Can I just replace the processor? Is there a simpler solution that uses the existing hardwired and wireless sensors and makes them available to Home Assistant?
Thanks
