Samba Config not Editable and not Visible

Hello all,

I’m just getting started with HA, HASSIO, and Raspberry Pi for that matter. I’ve installed HASSIO using the all in one installer, got SSH working and Sambe using default settings. but when I tried to add a folder for themes and make it visible, things got frustrating quickly.
Editing the Samba config doesn’t save anything in the Map section. I can change the network name, username and pw, but I cannot add a folder to share. Furthermore, I cannot find the smb.conf file anywhere as suggested in another post. I saw a very subtle suggestion that HASSIO hides much of the OS. I know others are having similar issues as described in these yet seemingly unresolved posts:

Continuing the discussion from Is there a way to edit smb.conf when using the Samba Add-On?:

Continuing the discussion from SAMBA HAssio addon, possible to add shares not from HASSIO docker?:

Any help or suggestions would be universally appreciated! Links to info are very much accepted.
