Samsung Motion Sensor - Can't add after reset

I have a Samsung motion sensor that had been working great in HA for quite a while. For some reason it stopped working/responding so I decided to do a reset (long press reset button, wait for blinking red/green) and re-add to HA. I removed the device from every location within the GUI I could see it; (ZigBee devices, automations etc) and then restarted HA, verified the sensor was in oairing mode (back to blinking red/green) and tried to add the device. It never registers and continues to just blink.

Is there a step I’m missing to re-add it? Combed over the forum for a couple of days but haven’t really found the silver bullet.

Well the issue solved itself (of course). I left the battery out since the post, then set the sensor near my PI nad bam … new device found. I can’t believe it would be proximity since as part of my mesh it’s quite a far way away when operational but it’s back at least!
