So the older samsung TV’s we all know are a bit tricky but I have pretty much figured out how to do a fair bit. I’m still having one issue though. I can turn the TV on and off all day, switch between the listed apps and control volume.
My issue is when I want to switch to an app thats fine. But I have yet to find a working method to hit the back button to go back to TV. Hitting the source TV only works when the TV is on HDMI, but not when its in an app. The TV is looking for a back, return or exit press is all I can explain and the source doesn’t do this. Has anyone figured out how to do a back/return type command for a Series 9 TV?
For those ondering how I got the TV turning on and off easily.
I plugged a Chromecast into the TV box, but power the Chromecast seperatly from another device. I use the Chromecast power on which has anynet+. I created a group with the TV and Chromecast and have a button to turn them both on. This was if the TV has lost its connection form the network the Chromecast wakes it up anyway. I have some conditional cards to show and hide controls and switch up whats on my dashboard once the TV turns on.
