Samsung Smart TV integration - Constant new device spam

Hi all :slight_smile:

I have had this issue for the past few HA versions.
I am getting constant notifications about this integration. I wouldn’t care really if it was just in the integration list - but it makes me check the notifications all the time.

It cannot be ignored/disabled in HA.
It results in popups on my TV all the time about allowing it (enable/disable/close) - no options make it go away.

If I accept and submit to configure, click Allow on the TV popup - it works for a day but then I’m back to more notifications.

If I disable the existing integration, it doesn’t make any difference.

The log entries present (searching ‘samsung’) don’t really help?

I also have this issue after a full TV factory reset.

In my case, it stopped with 2 configurations.
If I remove any, a new one shows up later.
So I just kept both configured.

I think that each one works with different protocols.

Like, for example, one uses websocket and the other uses upnp.

You got luckier than me then. I just can’t stop it.
You prompted an idea though: I have added it into the conf yaml (ip). See if that stops it.

Funny timing on me posting this;
