Thanks!!! I’ll try next time.
sudo bash -u homeassistant -H /bin/bash
source /srv/homeassistant/bin/activate
pip3 install websocket
pip3 install websocket-client
pip3 freeze
I started with a fresh installation.
in hassbian I believe the user is hass, so change -u homeassistant
to -u hass
The user that executes homeassistant is ‘homeassistant’.
I tried with hass and I get the same error.
thanks.
Yes, I configured the samsung media player component
I guess this problems reported in this topic, are the same we are discussing in the following github item:
Yes we should get something in place to make samsung tv work with HA… I believe it’s long overdue.
There has been progress, a WIP is out there that does work but it is hard to port to Hass.
I have two Samgung series 6 TVs. One works perfectly with samsung_tizen, I turn it on and off whenever I want and there are no faults. The other TV of the same series does not turn on, the controls work when turned on and also to turn off. But after 1 minute she doesn’t care anymore. The configuration is identical to another TV that works well. The MAC addresses and IPs are correct. Could it be some configuration on the TV?
Hi amkochaki, are both TVs connected via ethernet, or one is wired and the other one is wifi?
WIFI connection would explain the inability to turn it back on after turning it off. It disconnects from the network and wake-up cannot be initiated.
