I am looking for help to somehow play media from a USB plugged into the TV on a loop based on trigger conditions until the remote control is physically pressed. I don’t see that USB is even a possible source to select much less play the media. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Is this related to Home Assistant in any way?
Sorry, I guess I should have specified the request as an automation from HA. (I know how to play the media standing in front of the TV 
). I am struggling with how to get the HA automation to detect the USB source and then loop the media file.
take a snapshot of the tv entities when it’s on a different source. Then do it again when it’s on usb. Is there any state change on any of the attributes of any entity? post them here …
if there’s no change in any entity, it’s prob gonna be hard to do… but if there is, you can trigger off it
