Sasumg 50 inches TV shows up in HA but cannot be controlled via HA

I have this 4 years old samsung TV UN50JS6900. HA sees it as online and everything as seen here:

I used to be able to turn it on/off via HA. now if i press the power icon, HA shows the TV as off but physically, the TV is still on.

Three years later, same problem persists.

Interestingly, volume control works perfectly? Powering it on or off worked exactly once. Going to try reinitializing I guess; hmu if you find a solution.
