I needed a way to save the current state of some switches and lights so I could change them temporarily, and then restore them back to the way they were. Somewhat surprisingly, HA doesn’t seem to have a native feature for this. (If I’m wrong, by all means, enlighten me! ) UPDATE: Starting with release 0.103.0, HA now does have a native feature for this – namely dynamic scene creation using the snapshot_entities option.
