Saved Automations Disappeared

I am new to HA, so forgive me if this has been asked before. I have looked for an answer with no results. After spending many hours on learning and setting up about a dozen automations, all of them except the last one I worked on is now missing. There was a notification to upgrade to 094.4 so I did upgrade. I’m not sure this is the reason for the missing automations. It seemed like the automation editor would sometimes show only a few of the saved automations, then switching to a different area and back again they seemed to reappear. Now all are gone! Did I miss something with saving these permanently? They all seemed to work correctly while they were saved and listed in the editor Is there a way to save individual automations, so that they can be retrieved if there should be some kind of system failure? HA is loaded on my rpi 3 b+, via the HASS.io image supplied on the HA site. I really don’t feel like spending another set of hours if this is something that keeps happening due to my inability to understand how HA works. Any ideas would be appreciated!

I have a similar issue, and I’m running 0.94.3. I save an automation and then the page refreshes and says there are no automatons. I perform the ‘Reload Automatons’ function and they are reloaded and I can see them again. However, I’ve also had the instance where they disappear from view from within HA and then the automatons.yaml file is also overwritten with an empty version.

Well, I’m no expert but looking back it seems that all my automations disappeared while I was running the 0.94.3 (my luck the first version I have worked with) after loading 0.94.4 I have not had the same problem. I also discovered (late) the snapshot functionality. Hopefully, that will prevent any loss of automations in the future! Good luck!
