Scan Interval being Phased Out Question

I am getting my CPU temp and that is working OK. I am wanting to limit the frequency of the polling of the temp to about 2 minutes. Doing some research would indicate I can use SCAN INTERVAL but I also saw that the option is being phased out.

That comes from:
Entity component platform options

Does anyone know when it will be phased out and more importantly, will there be a replacement parameter that can be used in its place?

Is there another way to limit the polling from 10s to minutes or hours?

I’d like to know those also, usually the docs will say somthing like

‘this will stop working soon, you need to do this instead’
